About our firm.

Little Big Advisory works with business owners, operational leaders, and project teams who are navigating complexity — whether that means a business that has outgrown its systems, a project under pressure, a transformation that needs a clear direction, or a situation that has escalated beyond what the team anticipated.

The firm was built around a simple belief: that organizations of all shapes and sizes can benefit from learned experience and knowledge gained from managing complex construction projects and operating in sophisticated organizations. We want to understanding the need fully, and demonstrate value before asking for a deeper commitment. Trust is the foundation of every effective working relationship, and everything we do is oriented around building it.

About our founder.

Mark Donahue, P.Eng. has spent over two decades working inside some of Canada's leading construction and engineering organizations, across nearly every major sector and contract model in use today.

His experience is deliberately wide-ranging — across sectors, scales, and delivery models — a situational fluency gained from working across such a broad spectrum of projects and operations. From small, fast-moving projects to massive infrastructure programs that operate as a business within a business, his work has touched design, procurement, manufacturing, and construction, as well as the business operations that sit above it all.

Mark's background spans project pursuit and delivery, claims and risk management, senior operational leadership, operational systems development, and enterprise technology transformation, including large-scale deployments in complex operational environments. He has worked with manufacturing organizations as well as construction, and has been present at the table for decisions at every scale.

What has stayed consistent throughout is a genuine interest in the people side of operational work. The best outcomes in complex environments come from teams that are well led, clearly directed, and trusted to do their jobs. Building that environment — whether as an internal leader or an outside advisor — is what the work has always been about.
